Academic
Advantage

We believe, to our core, that the early stages of childhood require careful nurturing of the whole child – physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

The Full Circle Framework

Early childhood is a critical time for laying the groundwork for future academic achievement and overall well-being. Balanced Family Academy, we nurture every aspect of your child's development—physical, social, emotional, and intellectual—to provide a strong foundation for lifelong success.
Our Full Circle Curriculum focuses on:

Language and Literacy
Early math concepts
Science exploration

Creative Expression
Physical Well-being
Community and Cultural connection
Emotional Intelligence
Confidence in life skills

The Full-Circle Philosophy

We nurture a child-centered environment, empowering each child's unique development through a holistic, play-based curriculum grounded in the latest research in child development and psychology. Our dedicated teachers receive ongoing training and professional development, ensuring our practices reflect a deep understanding of how children learn and grow. We foster social-emotional skills, cognitive growth, and physical well-being, while valuing open communication with families and the community to create a supportive network for every child's success.

Play-Based Approach

Children learn through hands-on experiences and playful exploration. Our classrooms are filled with open-ended materials that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

We introduce early literacy and math concepts through fun and engaging activities that build a solid foundation for future academic success.

Literacy and Math Skills

Physical Wellbeing

Children learn about their bodies and how to nourish them with wholesome foods. We prioritize movement through ample indoor and outdoor play, while extracurricular activities further support gross motor development.

Character Development

We foster strong empathy and character in children by celebrating diversity and embracing a global perspective. Birthdays, seasonal changes, and holidays from around the world are marked with joyful celebrations, introducing children to different cultures and traditions. This, combined with our curated collection of classroom literature featuring diverse characters and stories, encourages children to appreciate differences, understand various perspectives, and develop a sense of compassion and connection with the wider world.

Social-Emotional Development

We strive to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment where positive behavior and social-emotional development can flourish. We prioritize building strong relationships, teaching empathy, and fostering emotional regulation. Our Director of Behavioral Support leads the collaborative effort between our passionate educators, dedicated parents, and external experts to craft strategies and interventions that cater to the diverse needs of our children while cherishing the core values of respect, safety, and the joy of learning.

Daily Brain Builders

As early childhood educators, we understand the importance of routine and used this idea to develop the foundation of the Full Circle Curriculum. Each age group's catchy days of the week tag- lines, or "daily brain builders" provide a weekly structure for implementing hands-on, age- appropriate activities across all age groups.

Kindergarten Pathways

The Kindergarten Pathway Program is a branch of our curriculum, designed to support older prekindergarten students and their families in preparing for the transition to Kindergarten. Incorporating this separate curriculum, supports the needs of older students in a mixed-age classroom, thus mitigating behavior challenges due to developmentally inappropriate expectations while simultaneously reassuring families that their children are prepared for Kindergarten. Our Pathways Director acts as a bridge between teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure developmentally appropriate expectations and practices are at the forefront of the classroom experience and to support teachers and families as they navigate behavioral concerns.

“As a former teacher I can analyze lessons and I am constantly impressed with the education my kiddo receives. The teachers rotate and update the classroom depending on the theme so there's always something new on the walls. Not to mention the various pull out activities like cooking, nature, yoga, music, and jump bunch. My kiddo constantly comes home with new information to share and a bigger vocabulary.”
